W. Bartholomew, Bristol, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement half column & splat shelf clock, c1830 (5) Elisha Hotchkiss, Burlington, Conn., 30 hour, time and strike, weight wood movement short pendulum turned column & splat shelf clock, c1832.
CONDITION: (1) Refinished mahogany veneered case has loss on the base and the door cross strip. Original painted dial has loss across the center. Original hands. Remains of original stenciling on the splat and columns. Bottom glass is missing; (2) Mahogany veneered case in poor condition with general loss and damage on the door. Door glass, dial and splat are missing. Dark label inside. (3) Mahogany veneered case in original finish has some loss on the base and is missing its top. Original painted dial is in poor condition with reglued cracks and repairs on the bottom edge. The alarm part of the original movement is missing. Tablet is a replacement. "Time is Money" tablet has some loss. Hands are missing. (4) Mahogany veneered case in an old finish has loss on the base and the door cross strip. Original painted dial has loss across the center. Original hands. Replaced tablet. Remains of original candy striping on the columns. Chimneys and replaced splat are inside. Dark label inside. (5) Mahogany veneered case has general veneer loss and a break to the door frame. Original painted dial has scattered loss. Remains of original stenciling on the columns and splat. Couple of pieces of the original tablet inside. Dark label inside
